A six-year-old early starter at Medway RFC, sport was always Rachael’s main focus.

Academically she wasn’t as strong but used her sporting ability to follow a career path in rugby and her mentor, her late father helped make her dreams come true.

Coming from a rugby family Rachael had the right support in place and she showed her dedication to the sport when she made the decision to move away from home at 16 to attend a rugby academy where she made it to the top.

Since her 2006 debut Rachael has made 35 England appearance and she represented England at the 2009 IRB 7s World Cup.

Alongside her role as a Sporting Champion, Rachael gives back to rugby within her current job working as a community rugby coach, giving young people the chance to express themselves through sport.

It is really exciting to be able to work with young people and share the skills and experiences she has developed over the years. Rachael believes that any sport can help and change a young person life forever.
