Jemma Lowe is a world-class swimmer who has proudly represented Great Britain and Wales on the global stage for over a decade.
Specialising in the butterfly events, Jemma reached the finals at both the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, showcasing extraordinary dedication and resilience at the highest level of sport.
From a young age, Jemma has been committed not just to her own performance, but to inspiring the next generation. She began visiting schools and running motivational swim clinics in 2008, sharing her journey and encouraging young people to pursue their goals with passion and determination. Her experience as Hartlepool’s Young Sporting Ambassador in 2006 marked the start of her lifelong mission to give back to her community.
Now part of the Swimpath team, Jemma continues to support the development of young swimmers, helping them to enjoy the sport while reaching their full potential. Her natural drive for excellence, combined with her independence and focus, has made her a respected role model both in and out of the pool.
Throughout her career, Jemma has balanced elite sport with academic achievement, gaining valuable life skills along the way. Her international career has taken her around the world, broadening her perspective and reinforcing her role as a global ambassador for swimming.
