Booking an Athlete for Your School: What to Expect
Unsure what to expect? Never booked an athlete before?
You are in the right place. At Inspirational Athletes, we know how important it is to make things simple, clear and stress free for teachers and school leaders.
Here is exactly what to expect when you book with us.
Step 1: Get in Touch
Start by contacting us through our website or by email. Tell us a bit about your school, what kind of event you are thinking of and when you are hoping to run it. We will guide you from there.
Step 2: We Help You Find the Right Fit
Once we know your goals – whether it is to inspire confidence, promote resilience or link with a curriculum theme – we will suggest the athletes who best suit your needs. We work with a wide range of professional athletes, each with a powerful story to share.
Step 3: Confirm the Details
Once you are happy, we will confirm the booking and send over everything you need, including a breakdown of the day, pricing and logistics. (pricing is found on the website and is a set fee… so no hidden costs!)
We are always flexible and happy to work around school timings and preferences.
Step 4: Pre Event Chat with the Athlete
We will then arrange a Zoom or phone call with the athlete and teacher or organiser ahead of the visit.
It is a chance to hear more about the pupils, your school values, and any key messages you would like covered.
Step 5: The Big Day
The athlete will arrive with plenty of time and will deliver a tailored day full of energy, honesty and inspiration. Whether it is an assembly, practical session or small group activity, they will adapt to your pupils and your setting.
Step 6: Ongoing Support and Follow Up
We are always keen to hear how the day went and support you with any follow up ideas or resources. Many schools invite our athletes back year after year – and some go on to book multiple athletes across the year.
You are in safe hands
We know what it is like juggling busy timetables, last minute changes and safeguarding paperwork. You can rest assured every athlete is professional and brilliant at working with young people.
