Mo Hunt’s sporting career began at the age of 17 when her PE teacher suggested that she tried rugby and it was love at first sight.
While still at school, Mo gained her first coaching qualification, and has continued to build on this knowledge and experience through college and then university, completing a BA in Sports Development and Coaching at Bath university.
Her England dream became reality in the space of a few months as she progressed from the West Midlands trials, the high-performance academy and trials for the England U20 squad.
She went on to start the 2014 World Cup final that brought her 29th cap and the triumph over Canada to win a gold medal.
Mo now has over 50 caps representing her country at 15s, and is using her wealth of experience to support a blossoming media career in commentary on both radio and TV, and in coaching her BUCS academy at Hartpury College, where she continues to inspire the next generation, as well as play 15s at the highest level of women’s rugby in England as Captain of Glos Hartpury.
Alongside her 15s career Mo has also played at international level in the 7s code of the game she loves, with many caps on the World Series as well as a Commonwealth Games, and representing Team GB at two Olympic Games.
